Teams Messaging Polices in Education
Is there anyway of assigning a Teams Messaging Policy based on Licence type... so say all my students have Office 365 A1 For Students assigned id like to assign a Teams Messaging Policy to them
- Mar 16, 2020Hi m8ttysmith
AFAIK you can't automate messaging policies based on specific SKU's at this time. There is, however, a uservoice open for something similar
https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/36752605-assign-messaging-policy-to-groups
So I would recommend voting on it to push it up the agenda. However, Policy packages may work for you in this situation

Hope that answers your question!

thanks for this, am I going mad here but cant you actually assign and create policy packages yourself or do you have to use the built in ones...
For example, I can see there are separate Messaging / video / screen sharing etc polices but ideally I want to create separate custom polices that I can roll up into one Custom Policy Package to which I then assign.
