Teams Gains Ability to Start Chat with Email Address
A new Teams feature allows users to initiate chats with any email address. This caused some commotion in the security community, but it’s not that bad. In fact, it’s an extension of existing function...
We tried this feature, but in our testing the invitation via chat will NOT trigger a real guest invitation. The user was not as guest in the tenant, it was just like a chat with a direct personal account.
Also, the chat that was created was no 1:1 chat but a group chat.
