Hi Lee-Martin, are you working with the desktop app or the web app? I only have intermittent luck changing accounts with the desktop app. In the web app, if you sign in with an account, that account is permanently embedded in your browser until you clear all history and all cookies, basically resetting it to a fresh start. As such, if I need to access Teams or the MS Teams Portal for customer management, I always use Incognito Mode. If you're in a hurry, opening an Incognito browser window to teams.office.com is my recommendation.

As stated, i'm using a tablet not on a computer.

I'm guessing the application since navigating browsers in tablets is annoying, but try a browser in incognito mode and see whether you're able to sign in with your active account. Unless the active one and the defunct one use the same username/email, you should be ok, and you can wait for MS to fix Teams Desktop/Mobile/Gameboy Color. I wouldn't hold my breath.
