Teams Copying text includes persons name

Microsoft finally saw the light and made the change...
Teams Improves Text Pasting and Mic Pending
Thankfully, Teams pasted text no longer contains a timestamp and the author’s name. The change is effective worldwide and addresses a longstanding irritation. Quite why it took so long for Microsoft to understand how people felt about the insertion of unwanted metadata is a mystery, but it’s gone now. And in other news, Mic Pending is a new feature for Teams calls and meetings.
This isn't a "Thankfully" situation... this FEATURE.. should have never been removed! There are MANY MANY use cases where easily being able to have a name and a timestamp holds people accountable on deliverables, clarifies when specific requests or comms take place and can clearly define who was involved with a particular situation, especially in IT support situations. I am here to adamantly protest this "FIX" and implore MS to re-enable the FEATURE, at least in a toggle-able method... Adding multiple clicks to get to the name and timestamp copy/paste is ridiculous and a serious time eater... Taking ad-hoc SS with snip it to forward that way is also annoying AF... please please please, re-instate this FEATURE!!!!!!!!!

Software engineers often copy code snippets, thumbprints, and encrypted values, but unexpected metadata can hinder productivity, prompting exploration of communication alternatives to Teams. While attribution is valuable for business and HR, redefining "copy" to include it deviates from its core function of cloning selected content exactly. Instead, I propose adding a distinct "quote" context menu option to capture highlighted content with attribution, or a feature toggle to replace "copy" with "quote" for those who prefer attribution and timestamps. This balances the needs of users who prioritise pure copying and those who value attribution.
