Sharing availability within Teams chats
Hi,
do you know if there is a way to include availability in a MS Teams chat in the same as we can do in the outlook Mobile APP? In the Outlook Mobile APP allows you to add availability by selecting timeslots from the calendar and embedding it into the email body.
Thanks

Still nothing built into Teams for this as far as I can tell, and Microsoft removed the Outlook mobile version (Send Availability) in July 2026, message center MC1393802. The closest built-in options are in Outlook: the Scheduling Assistant to read off free times, or a Scheduling Poll.
I built a tool for this, so treat this as a disclosure: OpenSlot. Its web app checks your Microsoft 365 free/busy, and colleagues' if you add them, and gives you a list of open times with a copy button, so it pastes straight into a Teams chat. There is also an Outlook add-in that puts the list into an email. https://marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/WA200011993 A proper Teams version is in Microsoft's certification queue now, which should remove the copy-and-paste step. I will come back to this thread when it is live.
- No similar functionality in Teams, afaik. Feel free to open a suggestion to add it: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ad198462-1c1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472
