Search Within Chat
Using Teams on Windows desktop, I am no longer able to search within a chat for words or phrases. When I click on the search bar at the top, I can only search for people and chats.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program and deleted temp files, but that did not help. Any suggestions?

- Tanya DentonSteel ContributorAs Chris Web said, if you go to the search bar enter
/Find (enter)
then select the person you want to search for messages
then add your search term
This works for me.- AlixK1701Copper ContributorI've tried it, and unfortunately, it is not working for me.
- Then you must be in a deployment transition or something if you tried this on teams.microsoft.com web client and typed in /find and it doesn't work then it's a server side issue. i'd suggest contacting MS support. Otherwise if you do go to web client and it works then sign out and into Teams to clear cache, maybe try enabling "Public Preview" on your client etc. to flush out cache etc.

It's odd because past search terms, from when the search feature was working, still show up in the drop down menu when I click on the search bar. If I click on them, it will give me a list of results. But I can't enter new terms.
- Try CTRL+F when you have the chat selected.

VasilMichev Doesn't do anything
- CTRL + F adds the current context chat to the search bar if you are in one with the /find command. You can also go to the top and type /find and then you can search for a chat, then search within that chat.
