Restrictions - Students using teams for Remote learning
We have been using MS team extensively and plan to extend it for students for remote learning.
There are following challenges we have across for which even technical support has no solution. Hence reaching to this forum.
1- In the meeting participant (student) list should be hide, they should not able to see each other
2- Male student should not make contact with any other students such Female, teachers or admin staffs etc
3- Camera & Audio should be disable all the time. Only teachers should have control to enable it.
4- Student should not search any students using teams.
- I wonder if it’s not just easier to set up a live event meeting here instead! This is a one to many event where everyone is anonymous. The teacher can invite others as presenters too. No one else can interact in meeting more than a QnA.

Point3:- From the Microsoft Teams Admin Center > Teams Meeting Policies > Allow IP Video would disable the Video for the Meeting. For Disabling the Audio for the students you can make the students as an attendee and then mute all the attendees.
Point2:- This can be achieved using Information Barrier Policies through the E5 Plans but it would complicate the set up

- Just to clarify, making them attendees and them muting all doesn’t prohibit them from unmuting themselves again
For #2 you should look into Information Barriers which is an E5 feature. It will let you segment users by Azure Active Directory attributes, so you could potentially use Department or a an extension attribute for gender.
