Hi,

New features in Teams is not related to what release channel you are configured for in Office Pro Plus or your tenant. If you are in a Teams TAP you will get features faster.

These features are rolled out server side and most of the times when new features arrives it is not related to what version of the Teams client you run (as long as you don't have a too old client version).
