No notification on bluetooth when someone calls into a Teams meeting.

Hi. When using Teams with a bluetooth headset I can hear meeting attendees but I cannot hear the notification when a caller rings in to join the meeting. Anyone know how to address that matter?

Thank you.

  • Hi Shawnarama   Unless you've had a different experience using a wired headset, it shouldn't have anything to do with your Bluetooth.  Turning notifications for entry and exit are set in the admin center for everyone: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/turn-on-or-off-entry-and-exit-announcements-for-meetings-in-teams

ThereseSolimeno: Thanks for the reply. You hit the nail on the head - with a wired headset I do get entry/exit notifications. I don't get them on a bluetooth one..

Shawnarama   Yeah, Bluetooth devices are hit and miss with Windows.  Take a look at this article that one of our engineers featured in his Twitter feed: https://www.howtogeek.com/354321/why-bluetooth-headsets-are-terrible-on-windows-pcs/
