New BUG? After upgrading to 1.3.00.30866 camera not working
- Dec 03, 2020
Hi ltomovski
We are also experiencing the exact same issue with this version, which is still the automatic update version being deployed.
We also get some of our users reporting that trying to use the camera crashes Teams completely, and they have to open it again to join audio calls only.
The only way we can get our users working again, is to direct them to the current version on the main Teams download site, which is 1.3.00.28779 and then their camera is working again.
Good to see I'm not alone with this issue via desktop computer. I'm also having issues with the 64bit version after it updated to 1.3.00.30866.
Mine crashes with teams restarting again advising it had encountered a glitch, multiple attempts result in the same issue. Interestingly when I select settings in teams and select Devices it also crash loops back into teams again.
I have a somewhat unique setup so I tried a few methods when troubleshooting all to no avail.
Firstly my camera is a Canon M200 linked with Canons EOS utility. Thinking it was this I switched it out to a USB Logitech webcam. Alas the same issue.
Deleted the Teams cache folder...again no dice.
Uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled...no dice.
My only temporary solution was to uninstall and revert to an older version I had of teams on hand (1.3.00.15561). This works, but of course it updates it in the background so should you quit out of teams entirely it will revert to 1.3.00.30866 and you'll have to uninstall and reinstall a previous version again just to get through the day.
