Moving on from the unreliable SharePoint News Connector

This might be more of a rant than anything else, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with the "SharePoint News Connector" not posting consistently.  

 

Sometimes the connector posts immediately, sometimes it's a few days behind and sometimes it just doesn't bother to post at all.  We've essentially given-up on it and are now looking into Power Automate to fill the gap.

 

I hope 2022 brings a much-needed overhaul to Team channels, bots and connectors.

    The connector seems to have completely disappeared from my channel. I haven't been happy with the formatting anyways (too small) and my pleas to Microsoft have gone unheard <sniff>.

    I found this article on using Adaptive Cards to do the same thing — guess that will be my new project next week.
