Hi Linus,
I just did a 90 minute lecture on Teams, recorded the session with 15 students. After the video was uploaded to Streams, the video cut out after 3/4 minutes, but it still recorded the audio. I don't want to record another 90 minute session to find out the same problem is going to happen again. I really need this application to work. Is my recording completely gone now? Do I have to record it again?
There was also another incident in the middle of the recording where feedback was coming back across my speakers, no other microphones were on (I checked) and no one else could hear it.
If I can't get confirmation that it is fixed and it won't happen again, then I'm going to have to use another platform and recommend my organisation to the same thing. I don't have time to be re-recording sessions due to poor applications.

Nothing reported in Message Center that it is an ongoing problem, but it could be something for your tenant. Office 365 Admins can check Message Center. If not they can contact Microsoft Support about the recording that was cut.

I encountered the same issue wherein the recording did not work on April 3rd. If you are saying that this may be "specific tenant" issue. My location was Sydney Australia and my meeting attendees are in Manila Philippines. Since we all need to find resolution to this issue what information do we need to share the Teams technical experts to troubleshoot the issue. I would say all information are kept via Microsoft Azure and should be able to retrieve that way.
- celen2020Mar 28, 2020Copper ContributorHi,
I experienced the same problem recently. I have had two team meetings; the first one was held on 24/03/20 and it was recorded properly including the screen sharing; however, the second which was held on 27/03/20 was recorded without any screen sharing.
I hope this problem can be fixed soon to avoid any confusion and miscommunication.
Thanks

I have the same problem too. Teammate was capturing her screen when I recorded and the output was only audio and it didn't include teammate's screen. LinusCansby

Hi Linus
I just wanted to report that the issue is still on going seeing as you mentioned the next update deing yesterday.
I have just tried to record and the screen sharing was not captured. The purpose of this is for students to be able to record a group presentation as proof and documentation of the fact that they have presented, for the university.
I am hoping to use teams for this however the students will need to do this by next week Thursday (2nd Aprill 2020). Do you think this functionality may be working by then?
If not I would like to know so that I can start providing alternatives.
Keep well
Joel

JoelFergusonFalmouth I really hope it will work by then. It is time for #Teamsfest April 1st and I will use screen sharing and I think many other presenters will use it too and we want it recorded.
I suggest that you start a support case with Microsoft for more attention.

I also am having this issue and need to this to be corrected. When I recorded my conference call it only captured the pictures of the participants and not the critical screen that was being shared throughout the meeting.
Please resolve ASAP or I will be forced to use a different platform for my online meetings.
