Microsoft Audio Dock Mute Button Functionality in New Teams

Greetings,

When I attempt to use the hardware mute button on the Microsoft audio dock in the new Teams client, only occasionally will it actually mute the Teams call. A more complete description of the issue may be found here:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/microsoft-audio-dock-mute-button-does-not-always/36738417-165f-4557-8545-7108e9c234e5

I believe this issue is specific to the "New" version of Microsoft Teams; the hardware mute button works fine when used with Zoom, for instance.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Thank you

Strangely, this continues to be an issue on my device notebook - Windows 11 24H2, Microsoft Audio Dock firmware 1.47.139, and Teams version 24277.3507.3205.5228.

The experience is that the mute/unmute doesn't actually activate the mute/unmute function in Teams. This still need to be done manually within the application.

When I launched Microsoft accessory center on my work PC, the Microsoft audio dock was never detected. Even when I logged into the work PC as a user with local administrator rights, this was still the case.

I connected the Microsoft audio dock to one of my own PC's and launched the Microsoft accessory center - this time, the device was detected. It's not completely clear to me if that allowed for the device firmware to update (I can see the current version number, but not the date that it was applied), but that is my assumption as after reconnecting the Microsoft audio dock to my work PC the hard mute button is now working as expected in the "New" Teams.
