Mark All Messages As Read
I noticed that some members of my teams have a lot of bold text on their screen indicating unread messages. We are all busy and sometimes we lose track of things and unread messages build up. Users t...

ms_dba This feature in Teams will mark the notifications feed as read. We are discussing here to mark the messages in Chat as read. There is no such option available in Teams to mark all chats as read.

SanthoshB1 There was some mention above of "Users then have to dive through channels and chats", "Activity feed is spammed up with dozens..", and "scroll down through each item in my Activity Feed" so the reply provided was intended to let folks know that at least this one concern seems to have been addressed by Microsoft. The Activity Feed was a concern for me as well due to monitoring apps spamming the Feed. You are correct, that marking as read for 1:1 chats does not yet seem to be in the app UI. For that concern, I tracked down a couple of specific requests in the Teams feedback forum and upvoted them. Teams seems to be routinely getting new features, so I would not be suprised to see an option for marking all 1:1 chats as read in the not too distant future.

I'm adding to this thread as I cant find anything about it anywhere else and this is as close as I can find. Most of my colleagues and I have the button to "Mark all as Read" in Chats now since they rolled it out, however, a couple of my colleagues do not have it and we cant figure out how to get it on their Teams. We've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating, repairing, and even switching between the "Old" Work Teams and the "New" Work Teams and still nothing. Any ideas?

Sorry... no idea how to force all colleagues to have the same Teams UI experience and have noticed the same as you. I have noticed that features get rolled out to some colleagues while not others and have noticed new features in Teams rolled out will sometimes later disappear or be found somewhere new in the Teams UI. If the issue is a real challenge, it might be worth tracking down your Microsoft Customer Success Account Manager and see if they can provide some guidance.
