Laggy typing in MacOS
For me the issues are solved now after completely removing Teams with all the local data / caches. You can find numerous instructions online on how to do this - like this one: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/407416/how-to-delete-cache-of-microsoft-teams-on-macos
It's a shame that people still have issues with this. It seems there is a ton of bugs causing some dirty writes / reads on some cached files / objects / whatever, which can cause the app to be unstable or extremely laggy.
Anyhow I suffered from this issues for sometime, after which I've spent one afternoon on fully cleaning and reinstalling Teams and it helped. I can work again...
robeggleston This is really horrible, I agree. often Teams ends up in a state where every time I start to type it lags behind 3-4s. Also switching between chat and teams takes 3-10s. The only thing that helps is to restart.
If I use search, I immediately end up in this state. So I have stopped trying to search 😞
It is pitty that the phone app is performing better than the one on my $5000 laptop.
Does anyone know if this issue has been addressed? I've not had luck. The laggy typing kills me with Teams. Thanks!
- It's been almost a year since this thread was started, and still, nothing. I have no idea why businesses continue to trust in MS.
