How to restrict access to a specific TEAMS site for external users

Spoiler (Highlight to read)I've started using TEAMS in earnest and have come across a problem that appears related to the inherent design of TEAMS. We have a tenant that contains about a dozen team sites. I know how to make an individual a member of a team. However, I can't figure out a way to limit the sites that a person can see. It's "all or nothing at all". This causes a problem as I would like to be able to provide access to external users but want to limit them to a particular team site.
