How to find the directory of a file-path from the file?
You can technicallly use get link and the sharepoint tab and paste that and remove the file name off the end but that can be messy.
ChrisWebbTech That's all well and great IF told people where "get link" is, and what you mean by "sharepoint tab".
With this information it defeats the purpose of the post. Unless someone in the world knows what you're referring to.
- Mar 22, 2022This was years ago before they updated the UI. The get link was in the old screenshot and SharePoint tab is the SharePoint tab in Teams.
Anyway, current way is just click the ... menu by a file then "Copy Link" , make sure the permission option "the option under the link" is set to "People with existing access". This will give you the raw URL link to a file. Otherwise you can use other permission options to get generated links for access based on selection.- for_realMar 22, 2022Copper Contributor

I actually needed to find path for documents in Teams, that I opened. I'll just have to keep searching, thanks.
