How To Disable Calls?
Hi Folks,
I want to disable calls, for the moment for all users. I have gone into the Calling policies and switched off everything in the Global policy. For the moment though Calls are still available.
Does it just take time to process?
We're a school with over 1,200 users. Is there a way with PowerShell to apply the policies? Unfortunately the UI for the Teams Admin Center is terrible when it comes to applying policies to large groups of users.
Thanks
Hi,
If there is no calling policy granted to your users the Global policy is applied for them, your change will show within 24 hours (sometimes a bit longer) if everything is okay. You could sign in to Teams Web to get an faster update at https://teams.microsoft.com
If you create a custom policy and want to assign that to many users you can assign them in bulk, that is described in this article.

Is there any information about when New-CsGroupPolicyAssignment is coming out of private preview? Such a useful command, particularly in these current times.

Thanks, that's really helpful. We've gone with the global policies for now, as there's no need for the moment to differentiate between staff and students. But I can use that PowerShell approach if we need more granularity.
