Hide bar at top of teams sharing
- Mar 21, 2022
rayted22 I'm not aware of any way to disable it. It's generally needed is you end up giving control to other people.
rayted22 I'm not sure where that says anything about changing resolution.
It's the sharing bar, it will slide out of the way and return if your mouse touches the top edge of the screen. Move your mouse down and click on the app and it will roll up again. While the address bar in chrome is kinda near there, it's really shouldn't be hard to avoid touching the top edge.
The pushpin on the far right of the bar locks it open, it doesn't look like you've done this, but it's a simple toggle.
Hey!
Every coworker I know has complained about this in the past, and it's something I personally really struggle with. There's clearly an issue in having the bar conflict with the browser tabs so much. I honestly think that saying that "it's not hard not to have the problem" is generally not very useful, and sometimes really discouraging to the person having that specific problem...

This is a glaring UX problem for us as it comes up in every other call when someone shares their screen.
Our main pain is with how the "You're sharing your screen" minimized banner covers the browser tabs behind it, and once you move over any part of that banner, the big banner shows up and covers up even more tabs, making it even more impossible to get the tab you wanted behind it!
The addition of a simple button or series of buttons inside the banner that moves the banner to the bottom (or left- or right-side) of the screen would be a clean solution.
