rayted22 I'm not aware of any way to disable it. It's generally needed is you end up giving control to other people.

The sharing bar is an annoyance, I wish I could move it out of the way like the top bar in a full screen Remote Desktop session.

It's 2024, this bar is still a problem when sharing your screen. It's covering the tabs of the browser preventing you from seeing what's behind it. Can this be prioritized? Zoom and GoToMeeting have already solved this.

Has Microsoft got a solution for this or do we just need to revert back to the old MS Teams? It looks like that is the only option at the moment.
- davidrahlFeb 20, 2024Brass ContributorI was utilizing Teams Classic for specifically this reason, but their last update broke my headset integration, so I was forced to switch to New Teams last week. I switched to Edge browser so I can do vertical tabs (along the left edge) instead of on the top of the screen. Thought everything was working fine with this arrangement, until I paired up with another developer this morning, and found that the position of the sharing bar is now in the perfect position to cover some vital controls and menus on my Visual Studio window (Tools, Extensions, and Start/Stop, specifically). So now, Microsoft's own product is interfering with the ability to efficiently share its own product with fellow Team members! Get this fixed, MS! Literally NOBODY I have talked to about this likes the sharing bar in New Teams, which means this is very likely a UNIVERSAL issue across your user base!
