Hide bar at top of teams sharing
rayted22 I'm not aware of any way to disable it. It's generally needed is you end up giving control to other people.
davidrahl It'd be nice if they could add an option to 'move' the dashboard to the right-hand (or left-hand) side of the screen.
Get rid of this PLEASE! And the stupid mini window that forces itself above everything. I can alt-tab and focus the actual teams window if I need to change anything about my sharing settings. I don't need a constant bar at the top telling my I'm sharing my screen. The bold RED line around the edges tell me this.
This is why Microsoft software is just complete trash. They have zero awareness about customer usage and, I feel they don't even have a UX team that gets, and actually listens to, customer feedback.

asenner611 , my coworker finds the mini-window to be the biggest annoyance when screen sharing in New Teams. I disagree & think the bar is worse, but at least I can now deal with the bar via TheLocalizer's Ctrl-W fix.
There's no way to preset where the mini-window will appear (eg. if I have multiple displays, it would be handy to have it default to the one I am not sharing from) though, so I may soon come to agree with my coworker.
The "New Teams" bar is even worse than classic. At least in classic you could click twice on the pin and it would go away in a few seconds. That doesn't work anymore, so I had drag the browser out from behind it. I can't even swear properly at it because I'm always in a meeting when it appears. Please make it go away!

davidrahl please fix this issue, everyone is complaining about this. this sharing bar hide all the tabs, and its not easy to navigate through browser tabs. It should be fixed urgently.
This is really annoying, I join in and call for a fix.
Facing same problem and yes its just frustrating!!! I am unable to hide the bar while sharing the Screen, unable to access the content/chrome browser tabs when this bar is shown. At least in the older verison i was able to unpin it to hide, but with newer version that doesnot work.
I am facing this issue with the new Teams version. Is there any way to go back to old version??

There's a switch in the upper-left corner of the Teams app that toggles between Classic and New Teams:- I turned off this switch, that is, I opted for the classic version, and as a result the bar no longer appears.

- Just about every meeting is disrupted regularly by this issue. People use browsers, and they use browser tabs. Putting this in the top middle of the screen as a landmine to disrupt the flow of presentations if we drift too close to it is extremely frustrating. We should not have to rearrange our desktop or tab orientation in order to smoothly present.

- What's even worse (and has always been) is that if you accidentally activate it (very easy as it's bigger in new teams) you need to wait too long for it to reduce. Is there a way to trigger it to reduce?
- Sometimes, when I click on my desktop, the Teams bar goes away.
- I agree, the new Teams sharing bar is even worse than the old one, though I'm surprised anyone was okay with the old one. They made it smaller but now it never goes away, so it's absolutely always in the way of my browser tabs.
Why is this bar needed at all? Users can give and receive control on the actual teams window; it does not need to be handled on a separate bar.- I totally agree...this Teams toolbar is very intrusive and it needs to have a toggle to collapse that functionality. Why is this such a long-running issue? I cannot believe this got past the user experience teams for so long now!
- The answer is obvious. Microsoft believes that the way it works is close to perfect, and they don't care what we think. As RachaelBoneck asked, why is the bar needed at all? I'd be happy if I could move it to either side of the screen. It would be a lot less annoying, but they won't even allow that.
