Try deleting them from Azure AD then also from the recycle bin. After that invite them as members..

adam deltinger That is the problem. We have deleted the user in Azure AD and then went in to deleted and did a removed forever. We made sure the user is not in Teams. When we go to add the user in teams it immediately has them in a pop down with (guest) after their email.
- May 21, 2020Sounds like a sync or caching issue! Wait some time before adding them again! Also make sure to fully log out of the client and log back in

adam deltinger Thanks for being so helpful. How long should we wait? We deleted a user that was a guest and waited about 4 hours and tried to add her again and it still showed her (guest) as a pop up option and no option for member. Thanks
