Extremely unstable Teams client on Mac + solution
- Dec 01, 2022
Hey thereroyandre - I'm sorry to hear about your issue you're having on your Mac. It's unfortunate that you're having such a poor experience on your M1 device. With you being on M1, you should have the Apple Silicon version of Teams which should be speedy on your device, but it sounds like that's definitely not the case. Can you provide me your version number? Here's more on that; Find Version of Teams.
Additionally - can you validate in particular what your specific problems are? Is this mostly tied to meetings? Outside of meetings? Chat lists? Anything in particular that you can provide on your repro steps for your problem is something that we can definitely look into further for you.

StaceeFrane I wish I could. The issue is that the client simply loads forever, or freeze, I dunno. At least I have to forcefully close the Teams client, and instead simply use the web version, which actually works.
I have talked with several others, which are facing the same issue.
And no, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my Mac, which works perfect in anything from DaVinci Resolve to FL Studio to the more basic apps.

- brian184Mar 29, 2024Copper ContributorSam, hoping you are still open to addressing this issue for us. I have an M2 Max user, and the Teams app is using in excess of 100% of CPU. It's especially a problem in meetings. His Mac gets extremely laggy, and even typing is a problem. We've had the Mac serviced by Apple (replacing the system board), reimaged the device, reinstalled Teams, and the problem still comes back. The user is regularly in meetings and sharing his screen, also using Adobe XD most of the time. He is on MacOS 14.4.1. Any thoughts?
