external guest does not enable chat
Hello, when I invite external people to a meeting, without having to register a team account, the chat option is not enabled

It only happens when the person enters the link without logging in to teams, it is as if they were anonymous.

Has this always been the case? Anecdotally, I heard someone else having a similar issue and this was not the case until two days ago. I do know there was a teams update (specifically background effects and end call). So, I am wondering if something else has changed.
