Excel

How do I assign the default file location?  That is, when I open excel how can I then hit 'open file' and have it go directly to the location of my choice?  Also how do you set the 'save' function so it will go to the same desired file location

You may pin file(s) and folder(s) which always will be on the top on open/save. Default local save location could be set in File->Options->Save

Thank you.  When I start excel is there a way when I go to "open file" icon that excel will automatically go to a file location which I have specifically established just for storage of excel documents?

As variant you may set in setting default location

        and check "Don't show Backstage..."

With that on opening file with shortcut (Ctrl+O) this default folder will be opened.

If with mouse only when use pinned folders.
