I have a MS Team where I manage (1) Permissions and (2) the primary Folder structure of my SharePoint site. Example MS Team Channels: Labor Billing Commercial Customer Service Etc. These ...
The issue here is that these folders are not regular folders, but Channel Folders. This is not clear from the UI. The folder names are based on their Teams Channel counterparts. So, if you want to change the entire folder name, you have to change the Channel name.
Alternatively, you make a new folder and name it as you want, copy the folder to the channel folder and work in that folder. If you hardly use the channel at all I would suggest copying the folder into the Sharepoint site and just use that going forwards.
