Copy and paste is currently temperamental and Microsoft are working on fixing it because half the time it doesn't work

There is a uservoice to allow it

But not one I can see to prevent it. So if it is something you want to see I would open a Uservoice here. This is what the product and engineering teams use to work out their roadmaps
