Confidentiality, safety and secrecy of private chat in MS Teams
Good day, I would like to raise a quite important question. Are private chats in Teams safe and confidential, so that participants can have private conversations freely without threat or fear of being supervised or moderated by an admin (especially in real time)? Thanks in advance for a reply
Jonny_French Chat in private channels will only be available for members in that private channel. Non-members can't read chats in private channels even if they are Global Administrators och Team Owners.
For compliance it is possible that admins read chat messages in private channels using eDiscovery.
