Chat messages available after account has been deleted
My client invited his hotmail account as a guest, deleted it on September 30 and can still send messages in Teams from hotmail to his colleagues work accounts. How is this possible? How can it be prevented?

- I am experiencing the same issue after inviting my hotmail account for testing. The hotmail account has been removed from the team, deleted from entra and then deleted permanently. My hotmail can still initiate a teams message to my internal user.
- Is the acount chatting in a 1:1 or inside a team replying to messages/posts?

To completely remove a guest account from an organization, it's recommended to remove the guest from the team and also from the organization's Azure AD.
Clearing the local Teams cache from %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams can also help to resolve the issue.
