Chat message search
I always found the word/message search function in Microsoft Teams chat so helpful but recently found that it is not working as it had been before. I am now not able to go directly to a message that I search up in Teams, instead when using the search function, when I click on Go to message, it now just takes me to the bottom of the group chat that the message is in.
- Working fine for me on both web and client. It goes to the chat and highlights where it's at on the screen. I assume this message isn't on the screen? Try teams.microsoft.com and see if it works. I'd recommend making sure Teams is updated and or log off and back in to clear cache.
Try another chat to see if it's just that one. Maybe the message was deleted but it's still finding it with search?
