I think the issue is that my work account got deactivated, now I'm thinking I need to somehow recover it. Because I can use the same account, just private, but not "work".
Hello, difficult to say what's happening with the details provided. Are you using Teams free? When you say "work account" is that account provided to you by your company? What error message do you get?
If you're having trouble accessing Teams using the desktop app try going online with InPrivate / Incognito windows instead to avoid mixed/cached credentials.
