Can I mark posts from my manager as important and get different notification settings?

Is it possible to record my manager as someone influential and therefore promote posts they write. The use case is that the users would like to adjust their notifications so that they receive minimum interruptions but would like to have exceptions where by a post from a manger would trigger a notification. Can you identify posts from specific people as urgent/important?
