Audio problems for professional created videos
Hi everyone,
i am working for an IT department and received the following incident.
I wanted to bring up an issue we've been experiencing with the audio quality of board videos when played on SharePoint. Locally, the videos play perfectly fine, but once uploaded to the SPO, we notice frequent clicking sounds that significantly affect the audio quality.
Details:
- The audio issues seem to occur randomly and are not consistent across all videos.
- We are following the rules for encoding - Video formats you can play on Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Support
- MP4 1080p - 5Mbps, Audio AAC 192Kbps - Encoder is Adobe Premiere
- If you download the file locally there is no clicking - it is only in the Streaming web player
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with the web player and .mp4 files?
We would appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this issue. Looking forward to any advice from the community.
Best regards
Stephan

I am having the same issue with high quality videos. The popping and clicking is really annoying.

All people that are having the problems should create a ticket at MS and link it here.

This is an issue for us too. Video plays fine when downloaded, but sound is glitchy when played through Sharepoint. Would be good to have a fix for this ASAP.

Came here to say the same thing. I'm also experiencing frequent clicking sounds that hampers the overall audio quality.

Marc Mrozcan you maybe help us out here? Opening up a ticket and let somebody hear through Teams will not work in this case i think.
All videos i get are "confidential" and cannot be shared outside.- StephanGeeSteel Contributor

I have had the same issue with a video today. Have tried lots of different things to fix it - reducing audio levels/gain, different bit rates etc, and nothing has worked. All videos fit the spec that you linked to. Really annoying. Hoping someone from Microsoft can address this!

Yes! I thought I went crazy, when I spent the whole evening fiddling with Logic Pro and its export settings. I finally uploaded a file from month ago that is still playing fine on stream right now and the new upload also has these issues although it’s exactly the same file from months ago. Any idea whom to contact to report this issue?
