Notification for Home Work in Channels
When an assignment is assigned to a class, children will be informed with a notification in channel. Similarly is there any option to send channel notification or an individual notification when Home Work is assigned to a class or an individual?

You can try to use the so called "at mentioning" for the channel. It is using the @ symbol followed by the channel name. as it is used here for the users. Everyone in the channel should see the activity. I hope that helps
