Microsoft Outlook All Day Meetings - Defaults to "Free" Instead of Busy???

This is an interesting problem that I think was just overlooked during the creation of All Day Events in Outlook. To give a scenario our organization operates on Microsoft Bookings which uses your blocks to show availability. We constantly have people who take time off or need a day to do something off-site and for whatever bizarre reason All-Day events default to free. Besides the fact this is backwards and infuriating to say the least - it causes so much organizational problems as no one expects an All-Day blocked event to mean you are free. Thats quite the opposite of why you would block your calendar all day I would even go as far to say its completely counter intuitive for All-Day events to be marked as free, who the heck is free when they are OOO for the day? Thats the view point I am coming from / the scenario of why its a hassle though, our workflow operates heavily on our calendar blocks. Can we change this default for our entire organization or per user? Is the only way to make the meeting and then manually change it to busy? This seems like something that was just overlooked and never fixed or address. When we talk to our other Managed Service Providers they just laugh at how much of an oxymoron this feature is - "Im out all day today but outlook marked me as free"............

(I see they asked you to post your comment in this Bookings page over a year ago and then never gave you a reply)

I'm also looking for this resolution. This problem applies to Calendar "Appointments" too which is used for showing and synching Out of Office. When I add a day of PTO onto my calendar I work from top to bottom. I select "Out Of Office" and then beneath that I select "All Day".  Once I select All Day, the Appointment changes my selection to "Free" without any Are you sure? type of prompt. This needs to be fixed because many times I have shown periods of Out of Office as Free because I did not know that my selection was changed.

I have the same feeling. It is unintuitive Can you change it or give the posibility to change the setup for default settings?
