This is quite possibly the dumbest move MS has ever made. I'm not going to echo all of the very valid complaints that have already been made here. I just want to say that one of the suggestions of downloading the standalone package from the Store for Business/Education is a temporary solution at best, since the Store for Business/Education is also being discontinued early next year. We are a K-12 school system and I still haven't figured out how we are supposed to control what apps users can download from the store without the Store for Education. Ridiculous.

The only thing I can suggest is packaging them up into SCCM and distributing that way and make them 'Available' rather than 'Required'. Not ideal, because you also need the Store App to get the files in the first place.
