Outlook Mac 16.55 reading pane stuck to "top"

Hello to all,

Starting with outlook Mac 16.54 and ongoing with 16.55, my reading pane reverts to "top" each time I change from one folder to another. Tried fresh install to no avail...

This is driving me nuts !
