The issue persists in the Beta 2503 of Microsoft Office. It affects files downloaded from the internet that carry the corresponding ZoneIdentifier. This includes both DOCX and DOCM files. Normally, for DOCM files, a red bar would appear in Word, warning that files from the internet may contain viruses. This behavior would be expected. However, this message (see screenshot) is misleading and also appears for DOCX files, which definitely cannot contain viruses. I am using the Word app and the files are stored locally on my computer after downloading.
