Hello Office Insiders:
WebP is a modern image format that offers better compression for publishing images to the web. As part of our work to enable insertion of HEIF and HEIC images into Office creations, we heard that many of you are using WebP images. So, we decided to upgrade the experience and add this format option for your Office files as well.

Copy and Paste of WebP images from web browser to Microsoft OneNote does not work, nor does 'Insert Picture' (WebP images confirmed to be in target folder are not shown in 'Insert Picture' File Selection Dialogue box). Using the latest Office 365 OneNote version on Windows 11. This is a significant issue as it significantly degrades the capabilities of OneNote as a 'note taking' app.
