Win32Apps - What version of Word / PowerPoint is required for Copilot?

What is the minimum version of the Office Apps (Word / PPT) that is required to support Copilot? (202305 Enterprise Channel is the current for me)

Access to M365 Copilot is only available to organizations accepted into the Early Access Program (EAP) currently.  If you are part of the program and have a Copilot license assign, but still are not seeing Copilot features appear, here are a few other important requirements to keep in mind:

        • Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 are licensing prerequisites
        • AAD - based account is required
        • Several features require users to have a OneDrive account
        • For Outlook: Users need to be using the new Outlook for Windows
        • For Teams: Users need to be using Teams desktop client or the web app. Both current and the new versions of Teams supported.
        • The richness of the cross-app experience will depend on the data sources indexed by Microsoft 365. Tenants with the richest data in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams) will get the best results.

You can reference the EAP FAQ at Microsoft 365 Copilot Early Access Program FAQ | Microsoft Learn.

  • For future readers: This has now changed, you will need to be on Current channel. Monthly Enterprise Chan is no longer supported.

Matthew Hudson Could you expand on that please? Monthly Enterprise Channel does appear to be still supported, I can't find any documentation to say it is no longer supported. Or do you mean for Co-Pilot? Again, I can't find any documentation to say it won't be supported, indeed everything appears to suggest it'll be supported as from later this month (December).

"generally available on 11/1, Copilot will be in Current Channel, and starting December 12, on Monthly Enterprise Channel"

In the beginning, MEC was supported and then MS removed it and stated MEC will not be supported on Copilot until Dec 12. Until then only Current Channel can be used for Copilot.
