Summarizing scanned PDFs - Copilot
I am leading a test group of users for my organization, and had a question for the community about Copilots ability to read scanned pdf documents. Our group hasn't had success with scanned document, and I am not sure that Copilot has the exact ability to do so since it is basically and image rather than text.
Has anyone tried doing this or have any work around for getting this accomplished?

I am not pretty sure , but you may refer some of things that i tried with PDF with images in Copilot in Edge
From what I have been able to tell, the lack of OCR in Copilot/Edge is the issue.
If you run the document through OCR first, it appears to work fine.
It also appears that microsoft is working on OCR in edge, but I havent been able to find any timeframes.- For PDF's you can use the Copilot in Edge browser for any summaries. I believe it is the only way we can use Copilot on PDF's as of now.
- Yes, Edge Copilot version works well for regular PDFs, but I am trying to find a solution for documents that are scanned.
