- Mar 27, 2024Thanks Graham and Reachrj. Bottomline answer, as I suspected, is: No, it is not possible to personally pay to add Copilot to a business license.
I hope Microsoft considers changing this model. It is certainly possible to purchase add-ins, apps and other software to add to business licensed MS software. Likewise, I am sure there would be many who would want to add Copilot.

While you can purchase Copilot Pro and use it in the desktop apps you need to be signed on with a Consumer not Business Account. Pro cannot talk to OneDrive for business or sign into those accounts. I have tested this on a Mac. Copilot works well when documents are not saved to business one drive but as soon as the file is saved to ODB locations Copilot will not summarize or interact with the document unless you have a Copilot subscription for the Business account.
