How do I turn off Copilot in Word documents?
I don't need Copilot in my word documents and I don't need the copilot icon stalking me on every page when I begin to type. Its very distracting. How do I disable Copilot?

Boot Word
Click FILE (upper left of screen)
Click OPTIONS (lower left of screen)
Click CoPilot (see below)
Clear the box labelled "Enable CoPilot"
Reboot Word, and the CoPilot icon and aggravating delays are gone.
If you ever want to use CoPilot, check the same box and reboot to enable it.
I think MicroSoft got the message.

Excatly what I did. First I installed old version, but then suddenly after few hours it auto-installed recent version.
Then I found settings for Copilot disable, addtionally it's good to disable Word from accessing internet under Privacy settings (or something like that)
