Uninstall apps. This worked; this answer should pinned as it removes co-pilot from the computer (I did not even know it was installed). I was assigned a licence as part of an MS 365 premium licence.

We're all in the same boat, Annoyance. Unfortunately uninstalling it via "Add or remove programs" did nothing for me on my Surface Pro 7 - where I also never gave permission for it to be installed. AFter installing and rebooting, and opening a new Word document, there again was the idiot glyph on opening a new document, and on pasting text, there again appeared the "Paste with CoPilot".
Nor can I remove it from a new laptop, even though the set up process appeared to give me a choice of not having it (which, of course I chose)! There seems to be no escaping this vexation constantly distracting and annoying.
