Generally Sensitive Topics for Copilot
Wondering if anyone has documentation of what general topics Copilot will not engage with such as if an employee tries to search for salaries or disciplinary records?

Hi Chris_Ferraro, all,
When a user uses Copilot, the tool inherits the same access permissions as the user. Consequently, if the user lacks access to salary information, Copilot will refrain from providing any details related to salaries.
Kind regards,

Hi Chris_Ferraro,
Indeed, users who already have access to salary information will retain this access when they use Copilot for Microsoft 365. In such situations, it is advisable to apply ‘https://learn.microsoft.com/en-ca/purview/sensitivity-labels’.

- Chris_FerraroFeb 06, 2024Iron ContributorWe are exploring labels but this appears to be a long journey ahead. But we are finding there are clearly general categories Copilot will not respond to. We have a user with access to salary info as well as myself without access to salary info. When either of us engage M365 Chat it will not provide responses to questions about salary. If we persist, the chat shuts down. Clearly there are built in guard rails, we are just trying to find a list of what those topics are.
