Copilot in Teams beyond meetings and summarizing info

Having Copilot (Microsoft 365 chat) in Teams search for information shared in channel messages (posts) has been a hit and miss. Sometimes it's able to find useful infromation but most of the times it can't.
The feature of summarizing a channel conversation it's nice but it doesn't allow for generating new content or brainstorming on new ideas.
Would it be nice to have the option for it to search for specific channel messages, in the same way it can search for People, Files, Meetings, and Emails.
