Copilot for office365 business standard
Hi berndt2001,
Regarding the Deployment Schedule:
Currently, Microsoft has not provided a detailed roadmap for the deployment of Copilot for Microsoft 365. At present, it is accessible exclusively to enterprises that hold a minimum of 500 Microsoft 365 licenses, with the requirement to purchase an additional 300 Copilot Microsoft 365 licenses. This effectively limits its availability to larger enterprises. May I inquire about the size of your enterprise? As for myself, my enterprise consists of a single employee. 😉
Regarding the Implementation Process:
I would recommend reviewing at least the following two training modules as they offer a foundational understanding. Please note that installing Copilot for Microsoft 365 isn't a simple matter of flipping a switch.

I hope this helps,

Hi Andre_Caron
We are a bit confused. We just upgraded to Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
Does co-pilot come with this upgrade automatically ? Is it an extra license on top of 365 BS?
Thank you for your support.

Hey Filipa_Fio, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available as an add-on license to Microsoft 365 Business Standard. This is the license that, among other things, brings Copilot to you through the apps like Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Here's the announcement that was just made on it Expanding availability of Copilot for Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Community Hub- reghirJan 16, 2024Copper Contributor

Hi,
thx for the info - my company consists of 1 person as well. The issue is, for consulting I would need to work with it, but at least will do trainings now.
thx

as Berndt we are a little company (two people instead of one). Today consulting my subscription profile on office portal, I found that under Microsoft 365 Business Standard there is also a "Copilot" service.
So I can imagine that in some way something about Copilot is enabled in the subscription, or it is simply an error?

Hi Ferro70 ,
In this case, I think this Copilot license is too keep your data protected for the Copilot Chat installed on Windows 11, available with Edge and also bing.com/chat. With it, you should see the Protected logo in your chats.
If I am wrong, feel free to re-align me !
Kind regards,
