Copilot agent unable to view meeting recordings in folder?

I want to have an agent that can query the recording from recurring meetings.

When I point the agent to a single recording (.mp4), I can ask the agent questions about it.

However, when I point the agent to a folder with recordings, it's like the agent doesn't even know that there's files there.

Is this a limitation or a bug?

This is likely a limitation, not a bug. Currently, Copilot Agents can query individual files like a single .mp4 if it's directly added to the Knowledge. But if you point the Agent to a folder, especially one with multiple recordings, it may not automatically index or process those video files.

Agents are better at handling text-based content. Video files often need transcription first, and folder-level access might not trigger that processing.

A workaround is to manually add each file or use transcripts of the recordings if available.

You may need to add more specifics to your prompt and specify the file or give it some context about what’s in the folder.

Also, when you accessed the original mp4, how’d that go? I haven’t had much success in that department and usually need to reference in.

Thanks, I'll work on my prompts.  If I can crack it, I will let you know :)

When I pointed the agent to specific files, I was able to ask it for recaps and summaries.  TBH, I didn't spend too much time on that config because of the 20-something source limit agents have.

        Hi

currently I run in the same issue. I need to ground about 90x mp4 videos which are transcibed.
Do you have new insights? I found a video on youtube which shows that this should work...
