When Excel couldn't save a file, 3E0CF950.MACTF was created, but where and by which program?

I experience this issue when running low on disk space.
Side note, mac will create swap files on you internal storage drive to supplement when RAM is running low. These are only deleted on a reboot, so either delete some files or reboot and that should free up space.
