What does this "Sign In" button log me into?

as Microsoft still didn't fix this problem, did anyone find out a way to "bypass" this problem ? hiding the button with a GPO ? blocking a feature which also hide the button in the same way ?
I know MS is pushing so hard to move everyone on Exchange Online instead of On-Prem but come on ... as some of you already said : the users are going to click on it, to open ticket because they will think they are not connected... and i'm pretty sure that this is easy to fix in reality ...
